Autopsy on body found in ravine
Staff Reporters
An autopsy will be conducted today on skeletal remains discovered in a west-end ravine.
The remains, believed to date back about a year, were discovered by a woman walking her dog just before noon yesterday in the area of Edgevalley Dr. and Colwood Rd., east of Royal York Rd., said Toronto police Staff Sgt. Bob Skinner.
The area of the ravine where the remains were found is described by police as bush or densely wooded.
“There wouldn’t be a lot of traffic in that area,” said Sergeant Rick Gateman.
The remnants of one running shoe was near or on the remains and a pill bottle with the date May 2007 was found on the ground nearby.
Identification details were listed on the bottle but it’s too early to determine if the bottle belonged to the individual found in the ravine, said Gateman.
“Obviously we want to confirm everything,” before making any assumptions about identity or cause of death, he said. Police said it is too early in the investigation to determine the sex of the individual, cause of death or whether foul play is suspected.

Winter Progress - still chipping away

We have some windows, a balcony door, all the sophit and facia are done.Inside, we have completed the plumbing, the heating ducts, the electrical, and some insulating too. Although not enough... We've had some very high gas bills this winter, and some unwelcome drafts on our main floor.
Week 4 - Walls are going up! It's getting pretty exciting, and again, at the end of the week, we got tarpped just in time for the Frida...
-
Week 3 - some less visible work being done, like plumbing rough-in, and taking off 2 layers of old siding! We are all tarpped and ready for...
-
Day 7 was our day of rest. Day 8, the forms were removed, and the back room has gained a new wall.
