Week 36

Ok... I couldn't wait any longer... 8 months down, only 1 more month to go! I had an ultrasound, and I asked if it's a boy.... IT IS! Almost everyone was right. :) The baby is estimated at 4 1/2 pounds, which puts him about 2 weeks behind schedule for growth of an average baby. So he is definitely a small baby. With another 4 weeks to go, he might put on another 2 pounds at best, making him weigh in at about 6 1/2 pounds. We'll see soon enough how close the estimate is.

Week 35

Here I am, at 35 weeks, my bump is getting bigger, although i'm still pretty small for 35 weeks! My Dr. says the baby is a little bit underweight. We were getting ready to go to a wedding, hence the fancy dress! Gotta love strechy fabrics! :)
(Please excuse the mess and clutter all around me, we are still under major renovations, and have NO closet space.)

2nd Pregnancy - Week 30

Here we go again... picking up a little after where we left off last year, we're at 30 weeks now, with ONLY ONE baby this time. It's almost exactly a year later than last time around, within a few days! Here's how big I am at 30 weeks:

Kitty Kay snuck into the photo with me. :)

And here is the Bassinet that I am starting to prepare... Just incase baby comes early, we have to have the bed ready first and most importantly!

House Progress - July 2008

The house is comming along... nearly done the exterior. We have the last 3 windows in, and about 3/4 of the siding complete. A bit more siding, eaves troughs, balcony railing, and new electrical mast hook-up to go...

Mom's Service

We held a beautiful service for Mom, in May, many people stood up to say things about her, it was really wonderful. And finally, Mom can be laid to rest.

Autopsy on body found in ravine
Apr 14, 2008 09:30 AM

Staff Reporters

An autopsy will be conducted today on skeletal remains discovered in a west-end ravine.

The remains, believed to date back about a year, were discovered by a woman walking her dog just before noon yesterday in the area of Edgevalley Dr. and Colwood Rd., east of Royal York Rd., said Toronto police Staff Sgt. Bob Skinner.

The area of the ravine where the remains were found is described by police as bush or densely wooded.

“There wouldn’t be a lot of traffic in that area,” said Sergeant Rick Gateman.

The remnants of one running shoe was near or on the remains and a pill bottle with the date May 2007 was found on the ground nearby.

Identification details were listed on the bottle but it’s too early to determine if the bottle belonged to the individual found in the ravine, said Gateman.

“Obviously we want to confirm everything,” before making any assumptions about identity or cause of death, he said. Police said it is too early in the investigation to determine the sex of the individual, cause of death or whether foul play is suspected.

They Found Mom?!

I got a phone call from Dad today, it has not yet been officially released yet, but it is pretty certain that it is Mom. A sad closure to 10 1/2 months of not knowing...

Human remains, believed to date back about a year, were discovered Sunday morning in a west-end ravine.

A woman walking her dog stumbled upon the skeletal remains just before noon in the area of Edgevalley Dr. and Colwood Rd., just east of Royal York Rd., said Toronto police Staff Sgt. Bob Skinner. It was wearing one running shoe, and a pill bottle with the date May 2007 was on the ground nearby.

Police haven’t yet released the individual’s name, although identification details were listed on the bottle.

Skinner said it’s too early in the investigation to know the cause of death or whether foul play is suspected.

Winter Progress - still chipping away

So over the winter, we have chipped away at some things, mostly inside. Here is where the exterior is at:
We have some windows, a balcony door, all the sophit and facia are done.

Inside, we have completed the plumbing, the heating ducts, the electrical, and some insulating too. Although not enough... We've had some very high gas bills this winter, and some unwelcome drafts on our main floor.

Week 4 - Walls are going up!  It's getting pretty exciting, and again, at the end of the week, we got tarpped just in time for the Frida...
